We are a growing company in India, specializing in Electromagnetic Relays. Our team is young and energetic, and we aim to expand our manufacturing capacities, improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality. We are looking for a dedicated Electrical R&D Engineer to join us on this journey.
Key Responsibilities:
– Relay Design: Work with the mechanical design team to create and develop electrical relays using electrical engineering principles, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards.
– Testing and Validation: Develop test setups and execute test plans to validate relay products’ functionality and reliability. Select appropriate test equipment.
– Specification Sheets: Create specification sheets, circuit designs, schematics, and layouts for relays and their raw materials. Choose raw materials based on design specifications and application requirements.
– BOM Preparation: Prepare the Bill of Materials (BOM) for the relay in ERP.
– Prototyping: Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
– Design Optimization: Continuously improve relay designs for cost-effectiveness, reliability, and energy efficiency.
– Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet industry standards and regulations.
– Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation to support manufacturing and quality control processes.
– Application Support: Provide guidance to customers on using Electromagnetic relays, including product selection, driving methods, testing methods, and handling complaints.
– Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical design, manufacturing, production, and sales, to ensure smooth transitions from design to production and address customer feedback.
– Research and Development: Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in relay design to incorporate innovative solutions into product development.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
– Proven experience in electrical relay/contactor design and development.
– Proficiency in CAD software for circuit design and layout.
– Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including electromagnetics, power electronics, and control systems.
– Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to relays.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
– Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

– Experience with simulation and modeling tools.
– Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for reliability (DFR) principles.
– Familiarity with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.
