As a Design Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in translating design requirements into technical plans for prototypes. Using CAD and CAE software, you’ll develop innovative design ideas and ensure their feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
– Requirement Capture: Gather and specify design requirements.
– Concept Research: Utilize mathematical modeling to explore new developments and innovations.
– Technical Planning: Produce technical plans for prototypes using CAD and CAE software.
– Design Analysis: Analyze design proposals and technical information to identify and address issues during product development.
– Design Reviews: Attend design reviews, present design ideas, and discuss alternative solutions.
– Simulation: Carry out simulations for new and prototype projects, providing support and feedback on design.
– Design Modification: Modify designs based on analysis until they meet specification requirements.
– Documentation: Control Bill of Materials (BoM), CAD Models, and Engineering Drawings. Ensure quality control through appropriate reviews.
– Leadership: Lead and support technical staff and/or junior engineers.
– Reporting: Write reports, present progress at project meetings, and communicate with clients.
– Budget Management: Achieve project goals within budget constraints.
– Continuous Learning: Undertake continuous training and development to stay updated with industry trends.

Requirements:
– Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred (BTech).
– Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Fusion360.
– Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) structures.
– Understanding of legislation and standards related to design engineering.
– Experience in Plastic Parts manufacturing processes.
– Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
– Basic knowledge of Additive Manufacturing.
